Victor R. Kebande is a PhD researcher at the University of Pretoria in the field of Cloud forensics at the department of computer science, University of Pretoria. He is a member of institute of information technology professionals of South Africa (IIPTSA) and an active member of Information and Computer Security Architectures (ICSA) research group. His research interests are in cloud forensics and internet security. Currently I have proposed a functional Cloud Forensic Readiness as a service (CFRaaP) prototype through which the forensic readiness model that plans and prepares before potential security incidents can occur. In this novel approach, he has modified the initially considered hostile malwares “Botnets” to act as forensic agent based solution that can collect digital information that is related to crimes. This is in accordance to the ISO/IEC 27043 standard, also sensitivity of the local laws, service level agreements on privacy, digital preservation, transportation, policies and procedures and the Law enforcements agencies. Nevertheless, he has also proposed digital forensic investigation framework for the Internet of Things (IoT) which gives an overview of how forensic investigations can be conducted in smart environments.
